Serving as Capstone’s Director of Client Experience, Jonathan Gonzalez plays a broad role in shaping the firm’s products, strategy, and continued growth. From market research to the systems and processes behind Capstone’s operation, his work touches many of the areas that define how the firm does business. With a focus on optimizing sales performance and diversifying revenue streams, Jonathan leverages Capstone’s proprietary technology, developed and pioneered by Guardian Jet, to enhance the end-user experience, strengthen reporting capabilities, and push the boundaries of what a charter provider can deliver.

With over 15 years of experience in B2B sales, data-driven commercial strategy, and client relationship management, his career has spanned both commercial and business aviation. Prior to joining Capstone, he worked for a major U.S. airline, where he managed a multimillion-dollar portfolio of corporate accounts and led the analysis, negotiation, and implementation of domestic and multinational contracts in partnership with global joint venture partners. He began his career in business aviation, developing a strong foundation in charter sales and Part 135 operations while distinguishing himself as a top sales performer, trusted team player, and natural problem-solver.

Jonathan’s connection to aviation extends well beyond his professional career. A Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management and an MBA in International Business from Lewis University, located just outside Chicago. Born in Cuba, his immigrant roots and time in aviation gave Jonathan an appetite to see the world, something he has pursued extensively, traveling to almost 50 countries and counting, often well beyond the usual tourist hotspots. His interest in experiencing new places extends to their languages. In addition to English, Jonathan is fluent in Spanish and enjoys picking up enough conversational phrases in other languages to connect with locals wherever he goes. Jonathan is also a self-described petrolhead, avgeek, and foodie, with a deep love of fast cars, airplanes, and good food. At home, he enjoys spending time with friends, family, and his dog, Gizmo, and planning his next adventure.
